Roanoke, VA – Saturday Evening Update
Today has been a stunning weather day! Temperatures have stayed below average with lots of sunshine.
Tonight, temperatures will remain very cool, with a chance of a stray light shower. However, the better chance for rainfall will arrive tomorrow and mid-week.
Our “False Fall” pattern looks to remain through early September! This map from the Climate Prediction Center projects below-average temperatures lasting all the way through September 9th.
Tonight will be quite cool for this time of year. If you have any outdoor plans, be sure to pack the jacket.
Next week, we will maintain the cooler air, with dry conditions for the first part of the week, until showers return to the forecast on Wednesday.
Saturday Morning Update
It’s been an abnormally cool August, and the trend appears likely to continue into September as well.
We’ll still be in the 70s for the entirety of this week, with partly cloudy skies to go along with it. Temperatures will run nearly 10-15 degrees below average at times.
Next week will also bring in chances for rain, specifically on Sunday and again later in the week.
Rainfall arrives Sunday afternoon and wraps up in the early evening hours. Later on in the week, we’ll watch more moisture flow into the region Wednesday afternoon and continue through Friday.
