We have settled into a hot, humid and stormy pattern thanks to a stationary front settled near the region. Today we will continue with afternoon showers and storms increasing in coverage after the lunch hour. By evening drive time, a few storms will still be scattered throughout the region, so you’ll want to grab the umbrella on the way out the door to have for later this afternoon!

Today is another muggy morning with an afternoon storm risk. This pattern is quickly showing itself as our typical summertime forecast. The severe storm risk this afternoon is marginal, and includes all zones barring the western portions of the NRV and Highlands. Our main threats this afternoon will be damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall.

We are kicking off the workweek with warm and muggy conditions. This morning a few clouds remain in the region, but will clear out by late morning to fuel afternoon and evening storms. A few pop-up storms could be on the stronger side, so be sure to stay weather aware today!

Heat risk remains high with afternoon storms

A Weather Authority Alert day has been issued for the beginning of July due to an expected heat wave that could result in record-breaking temperatures.

We kick of a stretch of hot and humid days today! Our high temperatures will reach into the upper 80s, with a few stray mountain thunderstorm possible later on.
