A strong cold front that passed through yesterday caused a rainy Easter morning. Now we are seeing the colder air really set into the region this morning; hourly temperatures will reach into the 60s later on in the day. Sunshine will make it feel a bit warmer than the actual air temperature.

Some much-needed rainfall is on the way for this afternoon and evening. You’ll want to pack the umbrella and the rain jacket for the evening commute, especially! Right now, the line of showers is further to our north, but will affect us within the next couple of hours.

Your out-the-door forecast this morning is much better than yesterday! We are about 10 degrees above where we sat yesterday, with just a few clouds passing through the region. It will be a great day for any outdoor plans

Cloud cover is passing through the region Wednesday morning, but thankfully, we have not seen any fog forming, so visibility is not an issue.

This morning, our temperatures have stayed fairly mild due to overnight cloud cover and a bit of fog this morning. You’ll want to have a bit of extra time for the morning commute as the fog is most dense in the NRV and Roanoke Valleys. Fog will lift around 8-9 AM.
