Local football coaches are pushing for safety and education after two teenagers died from head injuries they received while playing football.

The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating after three teens got into a fight at Heritage High School on Monday.

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – Vaping has been called the next public health crisis for teens. It’s a problem across the country, commonwealth and even in Roanoke County. However, Nancy Hans who serves as the executive director of the Prevention Council of Roanoke County said that number is still too high. Hans said vape pens are usually filled with tobacco and nicotine, which is an extremely addictive substance.

Police are searching for teens who allegedly posted a video on social media of themselves coughing on produce in a Purcellville, Virginia, grocery store. According to WTOP, the grocery store immediately took the items in question off the shelf and has taken other measures to ensure the health of its patrons, according to officials. Police are using this situation to urge parents to monitor the activity of minors, as well as what they’re posting on social media.
