Liberty forward Zach Cleveland was named Conference USA Player of the Year on Monday, leading a group of Flames recognized among the league’s top performers in the conference’s annual postseason awards.

Led by Zach Cleveland's 19 points, the Liberty Flames defeated the Sam Houston Bearkats 79-72 on Saturday. The Flames improved to 25-6 with the win and the Bearkats fell to 21-10.

Flames clinch at least a share of the CUSA regular season title.
