Virginia marked a milestone Monday with the opening of the Commonwealth’s first adult high school, giving residents a second chance to earn their diplomas.

With inflation continuing to stretch household budgets, more Virginians are turning to thrift shopping to save. Now, Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is giving its loyal customers another reason to keep coming back, a new rewards program designed to make each purchase go even further.

The first part of the plaza, Market on Melrose, is set to open at the end of this year.

ROANOKE, Va. – Need to make room for all the new gifts you got this Christmas? Goodwill Industries of the Valleys needs donations this winter. Goodwill needs clothing and household items, which it sells to fund services for the community like mentoring and job assistance programs. Goodwill Stores will be open for regular hours on New Year’s Eve to receive donations of clothing and household items. Donations postmarked by December 31, 2020, will receive a 2020 tax receipt.
