In the Seminole District, Brookville has been focused on fighting for two of their own players to suit up amid an eligibility battle with the Virginia High School League (VHSL).

Heritage Head Coach Brad Bradley earned his 250th win last week as he continues to guide a Pioneer team that appears to be on a crash course to compete for the Seminole District. But an up-and-coming Brookville team with an all-star-type coaching staff in its own right was looking to make a name for itself, seeking a win over the Pioneers for the first time since 2021.

Before the game against Halifax County, the community held a moment of silence and displayed a No. 57 jersey during the pregame ceremony in his honor.

On paper, one of the more intriguing matchups was Brookville at Alleghany.

"We’ve got to win possessions."

The 2008 Brookville grad, Virginia Tech standout and former NFL player will lead the next generation at his alma mater.

The Brookville Bees buzzed their way to a win, 24-13.

It was another battle under the Friday Night Lights, this time with Rustburg and Brookville going head to head.

LCA cruised to another victory as they moved two wins from a state crown.

On Friday night, the 3-seed Bees beat the 2-seed Pioneers, 50-21.

The Bees beat the Wildcats 57-12.

In this Seminole District match-up, E.C. Glass reigned supreme.

It was a tough homecoming night for Liberty on Friday.

Anyone at Brookville High School enjoyed a great game of high school football.

On Friday night, it was the Bulldogs whose bark was stronger than the sting of Bees.

Bees scored 55 unanswered points to win 68-14.

In Region 3C, it’s all about the lower seeds this year.

The Bees seemed unstoppable as they ended their perfect regular season with a 61-17 win.

LYNCHBURG, Va. The Virginia Commonwealth Games is a family tradition for the ODaniel father-daughter duo. Im here for the fireworks, shes here to represent for her softball team, Matt ODaniel said. I think the first year she did it, they had a softball practice and I was here preparing for the fireworks, ODaniel said. But the memories the ODaniels are making there, means a lot more than wins or losses. Me and my dad really work together a lot, Mattie said.
