Over 850 kids from 37 groups gathered to compete in the Special Olympics Big Feet Meet at William Fleming High School.

This morning, over 700 students from 35 schools across the Roanoke Valley will come together at William Fleming High School for the Special Olympics Big Feet Meet!

A chance for students to build their school community, that was the goal of today’s Special Olympics “Big Feet Meet”.

Tuesday was a day to celebrate the spirit of competition and inclusion as the Special Olympics Big Feet Meet returned to William Fleming High School in Roanoke.

Here's a look at some of the stories we'll be following today as they make headlines across the country and Southwest Virginia. Students and faculty from the school will receive recognition as a National Unified Champion Banner School. From 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Crews will pave the turn lanes from Route 220 onto Wirtz Road.
