Giles County and Narrows clashed in a heated county rivalry game, with Giles County securing a decisive 38-8 victory. The Green Wave had won the last two meetings, but both were by just a single point.
Giles County’s Jalen Miller opened the scoring with a 1-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a successful two-point conversion, putting Giles ahead 8-0.
Miller struck again with a 12-yard rushing touchdown, extending Giles’ lead to 16-0.
Antonio Wilcoxson connected with Will Tickle on a remarkable pass that went over two defenders despite defensive pass interference. The catch brought Giles within the 5-yard line, maintaining their momentum at 16-0.
Miller continued his impressive performance, bouncing outside for an 8-yard rushing touchdown, his third of the first half, pushing Giles to a 24-0 lead.
Will Tickle made a game-changing play by intercepting Narrows quarterback Parker Bryan and returning it 63 yards for a touchdown.
Wilcoxson added a 6-yard rushing touchdown, increasing Giles County’s lead to 31-0. After this score, Giles County pulled their starters on offense.
Giles County finished strong, winning the game 38-8.
