Firefighter injured in Bedford garage fire

The fire occurred on Friday, Sept. 26, at approximately 4:45 p.m.

A firefighter was hospitalized following a garage fire in Bedford on Friday, Sept. 26, according to the Bedford Fire Department.

The blaze broke out around 4:45 p.m. in the 2700 block of Lazenbury Road. While most of the fire was quickly knocked down, a fire fed by gasoline took about 30 minutes to fully extinguish using foam.

The firefighter was transported to a hospital with burns.

The Bedford County Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the fire.
