ROANOKE, VA – The Mayor’s Business Summit is back Monday, bringing together local entrepreneurs and small business owners for a day of learning, networking, and hands-on support.
The free event runs from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Virginia Western Community College’s Whitman Auditorium. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all registered participants.
The summit will feature sessions for both non-profit and for-profit businesses, with local experts covering topics like growing and scaling, finding funding, building strong teams, and securing resources to expand.
A special highlight is the Business Launch Site — a one-stop shop where aspiring and current business owners can connect directly with city offices like the Commissioner of the Revenue, the Treasurer’s Office, and Planning and Development to complete essential startup steps.
The event is hosted in partnership with Virginia Western, the Virginia Small Business Development Center Greater Roanoke & NRV, and the City of Roanoke.
Mayor Joe Cobb stopped by the studio on Sunday to talk about the event.
