ROANOKE, Va.UPDATE:

God Saunders, 16, was denied bail yesterday in connection with the murder of Isaac Lamont “Ike” Cunningham on August 3.

God Saunders and Jawward Saunders were both indicted on charges including first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The trial for God Saunders is scheduled for December 22-23 in Roanoke City Circuit Court.

God Saunders currently pleads not guilty to the charges.

Two teens are facing charges in connection with the shooting death of Isaac Lamont Cunningham in early August.

On Tuesday, a Roanoke Circuit Court grand jury indicted 18-year-old Jawward Saunders and 16-year-old God Allahson Saunders on first-degree murder charges.

Both also face charges of using a firearm in the commission of murder.

They are scheduled to return to court on Oct. 6.
