ROANOKE, Va. – On Sunday, Virginia Tech took on South Carolina at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Despite losing a tough game, Hokie fans showed out at bars around the Roanoke and New River Valleys.
In Downtown Roanoke, 202 Social House was filled with Hokie fans hoping they would win the first game of the season.
“I’m hoping to get to the glory days of the old Frank Beamer days. We got Shane on the other side this week, but I still love repping my Hokies.. this is Goldie Gage, watching our first ever Hokie Game, she’s got a lot of victories in her future, she’s our good luck charm she’s gonna bring on the victory today.”
