Martinsville Mayor granted jury trial

Mayor L.C. Jones has filed a motion for continuance. In the motion, mayor Jones requested a jury trial, which was granted and set for June 5th. He will continue to be suspended from city council until then, and Vice-Mayor Kathy Lawson will continue serving as Interim Mayor. In his absence, Gene Teague will serve as an interim city councilor.
