Radar scans this morning show a few showers and storms starting to work their way into parts of West Virginia. As we continue to see storms developing, the coverage will be scattered at best, but a few of these storms could pack a punch.

As we lie in the wake of a cold front, colder conditions are expected; but it is no winter day!

Some much-needed rainfall is on the way for this afternoon and evening. You’ll want to pack the umbrella and the rain jacket for the evening commute, especially! Right now, the line of showers is further to our north, but will affect us within the next couple of hours.

This morning, we are dealing with a much different temperature profile than last night. Southwest and Southside Virginia are still sitting in the 30s and 40s, with the sunshine helping it to feel a bit warmer.

This passing rain will take the warmth with it, but it will be back later this week!
