The Venerable Monks marked day 111 in their Walk for Peace last week when they made a stop in Wytheville. They held a peace gathering where around 700 people attended and asked the monks questions.

They held a peace gathering where an estimated 700 people attended. In their program, they not only spoke about their mission, but they also took time to answer questions from the community. 10 News Photojournalist Greg Moore was in Wytheville Friday morning and has reactions from both community members and the monks.

The walk for peace is a movement where Venerable Monks are continuing their almost 2300-mile walk to spread harmony and well-being for all living beings. This week they head to our nation’s capital.

As the Venerable Monks make their journey across America, Aloka the Peace Dog was honored with a Henrico County Police pin and an Animal Protection Police of Henrico County badge.
