The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s office announced Tuesday night that it was investigating after deputies at the Pittsylvania County Jail discovered an inmate unresponsive in his cell Monday morning.

Authorities said that investigators found methamphetamines, money, and a firearm at the residence.
