He chose not to go to Mexico City for a World Golf Championship, then skipped three straight tournaments in Florida before golf was halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic. That will give him at least one start, and possibly two if he plays a World Golf Championship in Tennessee, before heading into the first major of a reconfigured year. The PGA Championship is Aug. 6-9 at Harding Park in San Francisco, where Woods won a World Golf Championship in 2005. Woods has played only three times this season on the PGA Tour, starting with his record-tying 82nd victory at the Zozo Championship in Japan.

Shalev guided a period of dramatic transformation at one of the world's foremost Holocaust remembrance institutions. ROANOKE, Va. Roanokes Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial became the starting point for a social justice march in memory of George Floyd on Sunday. Approximately a hundred people gathered at Kings statue, many of whom held signs that said, Black Lives Matter. The group marched from the memorial directly to the Roanoke Police Department. Protesters have demonstrated against police brutality in front of the Roanoke Police Department daily for more than a week. Demonstration organizer Tatiana Druant said the march aims to encourage city leaders to budget less money for police and more money for education. We can all sweat and scream, but nothing is going to change unless we take direct control of our system, the system that is supposed to be here for us, Druant said.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. Sen. Amanda Chase, who is currently the sole Republican candidate for governor in Virginia, is denouncing the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue in Richmond. According to a release from her campaign, Chase voiced her opposition from Richmonds Monument Avenue on Wednesday. Removing the Robert E. Lee statue is a cowardly capitulation to the looters and domestic terrorists, said Senator Chase. Other Virginia GOP lawmakers are also speaking out against the removal of the statue. The Governors decision to remove the Lee statue from Monument Avenue is not in the best interests of Virginia.
