The widow of Jeremy Hall, the corrections officer who died after being attacked by an inmate in November, has filed a civil suit against the Department of Corrections leadership in district court.

Master Corrections Officer Jeremy Hall was killed by an inmate in the line of duty on Nov. 17. Today, a memorial service in Wytheville celebrated his life.

Governor Youngkin ordered that all flags be flown at half-staff on Tuesday in memory and respect for Officer Jeremy Hall, the corrections officer at River North Correctional, who was killed in an attack by an inmate in November.
