Last week was National Invasive Species Awareness Week, and the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has asked the public to report invasive species in the commonwealth.

The Virginia National Heritage Program announced the Roanoke Valley Naturalist Chapter volunteers removed thousands of pounds of invasive species.

We all know about invasive species, especially as spotted lanternflies impacted much of our area throughout the summer. Luckily, a Virginia Tech professor is getting creative while teaching students at the school about invasive species.
