Roanoke College released a poll on Oct. 30 that asked likely Virginian voters multiple questions regarding their opinions on candidates and who they would vote for.

Every year is an election year in Virginia, and we gain national attention as one of the only states to vote for governor after a presidential election year.

Early voting is surpassing the pace set during the 2021 Governor’s race, with more than 850,000 ballots already cast as of Oct. 23, according to the Virginia Public Access Project.

Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for Virginia’s attorney general, has faced criticism from both parties after allegedly sending controversial text messages to Republican State Del. Carrie Coyner in 2022.

While one election just ended, Virginians aren’t too far out from our 2025 state elections, including the governor’s race.
