Monica Johnson is a Multimedia Journalist at WSLS 10. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri.
Before joining Channel 10, she worked as a Reporter, Anchor, and Producer at KOMU 8 News in Mid-Missouri, covering state politics, multicultural issues, environmental stories, and more. She also previously worked in music and talk radio hosting and producing for KXFM in Laguna Beach, CA and KCOU in Columbia.
Monica was born and raised in Southern California, living in Orange County and Los Angeles (Go Lakers!) but is excited to be telling stories in Southwest Virginia.
In her free time, Monica loves going to theme parks, singing and playing guitar, learning dances, and trying out new restaurants or recipes.
