No device found after bomb threat reported at UVA’s Edgar Shannon Library

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No device was found after a bomb threat was reported at The Edgar Shannon Library at the University of Virginia, UVA Police Department said.

UVAPD notified students around 10:49 a.m. that a bomb threat was reported at the library.

At 1:19 p.m., police were on scene and asking for the area to be avoided. Both the Edgar Shannon and Clemons libraries have been evacuated.

At 1:42 p.m., UVA police said no device was found, and both libraries can return to normal operations.
