Governor Youngkin ordered that all flags be flown at half-staff on Tuesday in memory and respect for Officer Jeremy Hall, the corrections officer at River North Correctional, who was killed in an attack by an inmate in November.

A memorial service for the officer will also be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Wytheville Meeting Center. The Virginia Department of Corrections says those who are unable to attend the service in person can watch via a livestream on VADOC’s YouTube channel. Here is a direct link to the service.
