The Lieutenant Governor’s Race between Democrat and State Senator Ghazala Hashmi and Republican John Reid is the third statewide race on the ballot Tuesday. If elected, Hashmi would be the first Muslim elected to statewide office in Virginia. Reid would be the first openly gay man elected to statewide office in the Commonwealth.
