ROANOKE, Va. – Community members in Roanoke held a vigil on Friday for Blake Sturm, a prominent member of the LGBTQ+ community. Over 50 people showed up to the vigil to honor Sturm, who was known across the area for his drag performances.
Sturm was found dead in his backyard on September 2 after he was reported missing just days earlier. His death is still under investigation by police.
